Plants affect many things

Plant placement

Branches / Canopy

Keep in mind that branches will most likely grow so where plants get planted will affect how much trimming is needed or not needed.

HOA requirements

Many HOAs have required setbacks from common walls.

Roots

Roots will hopefully grow.  We have seen some do damage to walls, sidewalks and driveways.  One of the ways to minimize this issue is considerig plant placement when they get installed.  There are also physical barriers that can be used.
