In addition to being ugly; weeds can compete with wanted plants for nutrients, water and sunlight. Unkept landscaping can negatively affect property values, harbor pests which can be a health hazard for people and animals. Most areas have laws about weeds abd weed control.

Pulling weeds can be back breaking work but also effective; however it is not always as effective as people want for their landscaping and can be time consuming especially when there are tiny weeds or a lot of them.
While spraying herbicides for weed control is not right for every property it can be effective when done properly and legally. Nevada law requires that most "for hire" companies who advertise they apply herbicide, include the work in bids and contracts and apply it need a license and insurance.
For many landscaping companies it is the C6 license issued by the Nevada Department of Agriculture . There are even testing and other prerequisites to get the license.
It is NOT included with any other license and most companies and people do not have the license. A C10 landscaping license is different from this license and does not include herbicide applications or advertising.
Our C6 license is 7143

If you click the link to view it you will notice it says "for Public Liability and Property Damage which covers each occurrence of damage to persons or to property, including that being treated, from chemicals, chemical drift and equipment used in the operations...
